The Greek word aneu

Found just three times in the New Testament (Mt. 10:29; 1 Pet. 3:1; 4:9), the Greek preposition “aneu” means “without.”

Birds cannot fall to the ground “without” God’s knowledge (Mt. 10:29). Wives can influence their spouses to become Christians “without” words (1 Pet. 3:1). God’s people are to offer hospitality “without” murmuring (1 Pet. 4:9).
