The Greek word anemeros

Found just once in the New Testament (2 Tim. 3:3), the Greek adjective “anemeros” is the antonym of “tame.”  In the ASV and KJV this adjective is rendered “fierce.”

In the “last days” (2 Tim. 3:1) people will exhibit several evil qualities, one of which is the savage brutality described by this adjective.
