The Greek word anoixis

), the Greek noun “anoixis” meant “opening” or “the act of opening.”

When Paul spoke of “opening” his mouth, he was really referring to his speaking for the Lord (“that my mouth may be opened to proclaim,” Exegetical Dictionary of the New Testament, 1:106).
