The Greek verb “εἰσδέχομαι”

Limited to 2 Cor. 6:17, the compound Greek verb “eisdechomai” meant “welcome,” “take in,” “receive.”

Gromacki (Stand Firm in the Faith, p. 111) said:  “God will ‘receive’ the obedient, separated child of God.  This is not a reception to salvation, but to full enjoyment of the privileges of sonship.  In their relationship to God, Paul wanted the Father to receive them, but in their personal relationships to him, Paul wanted them to receive him (7:2).  The second would logically follow the first if obedience were practiced.”
