The Greek adverb “dis”

Limited to Mk. 14:30, 72; Lk. 18:12; Phil. 4:16; 1 Thess. 2:18; Jude 12, the Greek adverb “dis” meant “twice.”  Jesus spoke of the cock crowing “twice” (Mk. 14:30, 72.  A Pharisee boasted of how he fasted “twice” each week (Lk. 18:12).  Jude applied this term to false teachers who were spiritually bankrupt.
