During this process phone calls will be made to the bad check writer, NCN reporting continues, and there is reporting to the three major credit bureaus. NorthStar may engage your local "D.A." to help collect a phase two check and even garnish the check writer's wages. If you so choose, NorthStar will use all the collection agency tools from the past as well as all the modern collection technology to collect phase two checks. This form of collection is for debtors who are actively resistant to paying a bill they owe. NorthStar's collection efforts are very firm but polite.
With NorthStar's free NSF check collection, you can start letting other landlords take bad check writers to small claims court. Some of my clients are property owners who get bad checks from tenants and not one of them has chosen to cancel NorthStar's free check collection service!
