The Greek word “angelos” is a noun that occurs throughout the New Testament, especially in the books of Matthew, Luke, John, and Revelation. The spelling of this word is quite similar to the English word “angel” and angelos does mean “angel” or “messenger.” In most places this term describes a heavenly messenger (Mt. 1:20, 24; 2:13, 19). A few verses such as Mk. 1:2; Lk.
7:24; 9:52; Jas. 2:25) use this term to describe a “human messenger.”The Greek word angelos
