The noun “adikia” describes “wickedness” or “wrongdoing.” This term occurs about 25 times in the New Testament and one of the key verses that uses this word is Rom. 1:29 (people can be “filled” with adikia). In Rom. 1:18 Paul said God reveals His wrath against all the “unrighteousness” (adikia) of men.
It is possible to “obey” adikia (Rom. 2:8. In Rom. 9:14 Paul said there is no adikia in God. Love does not rejoice in adikia (1 Cor.
13:6) and those who “name of name of the Lord” need to leave adikia alone (2 Tim. 2:19). God is merciful to man’s adikia (Heb. 8:12); if people will not repent, there is a “reward” for adikia (2 Pet. 2:13, KJV). The blood of Christ can cleanse those who become Christians from “all” adikia (1 Jn. 1:9).
