The Greek word anosios

Found just twice in the New Testament (1 Tim. 1:9; 2 Tim. 3:2), the Greek adjective “anosios” meant “unholy” or “godless.”  One of the reasons God gave law was “unholy” behavior (1 Tim. 1:9).  Paul used this word in 2 Tim. 3:2 to describe “godless” (unholy) people in the last days (2 Tim. 3:1).
