The Greek word “ge”

Found more than 2,000 times in the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament) and used many times in the New Testament, the Greek noun “ge” meant “earth,” “land,” “ground,” “territory.” John used this term numerous times in the book of Revelation, but it is also found many other in times in multiple books. A similar but different word is “kosmos” (a word for “world”).
