The Greek word “doxazo”

Found sixty times in the New Testament, the Greek verb “doxazo” primarily described honoring God or man or adorning or celebrating the value of someone or something.

We are to “glorify” the Father in heaven (Mt. 5:16).  Some men seek “glory” (Mt. 6:2).  Glorifying God may be done with a “loud” voice (Lk. 17:15).  Some know God but do not glorify Him as such (Rom. 1:21).  Part of proper glorification is religious unity (Rom. 15:6).  The saved are supposed to glorify God with their bodies (1 Cor. 6:20).
