The Greek word “dusbastaktos”

Limited to Mt. 23:4 and Lk. 11:46, the Greek adjective “dusbastaktos” meant “hard to bear” or “burdensome to carry.”

Men like the scribes and Pharisees bound burdens on people which were “hard to bear”  (Mt. 23:4; Lk. 11:46).  The Christian faith is a much different system of religion (Mt. 11:29-30).
