The Greek noun “ἐνέργεια”

Limited to Eph. 1:19; 3:7; 4:16; Phil. 3:21; Col. 1:29; 2:12; 2 Thess. 2:9, 11, the Greek noun “energeia” meant “energy,” “working power,” “operation,” “active,” “action.”  This term is part of a word-group which “refers, as a rule, to the working of God” (Dictionary of New Testament Theology, 3:1151).  The Thessalonian references are especially intriguing.  Paul spoke about the “energeia” of Satan in 2 Thess. 2:9.
