The Greek word “argureos”

Found just three times in the New Testament (Acts 19:24; 2 Tim. 2:20; Rev. 9:20) and sometimes spelled “argurous,” the Greek adjective “argureos” meant “made of silver.”  In the New Testament this word describes “household items” (2 Tim. 2:20) as well as idols made from silver (Acts 19:24; Rev. 9:20).
