The Greek word “botrus”

Found just once in the New Testament (Rev. 14:18), the Greek noun “botrus” meant “cluster of grapes” or “bunch of grapes.” John pictured the unsaved as a “cluster of grapes” which will be gathered (“harvested”) at the end of time and then, figuratively speaking, be “trampled by God’s winepress.”

A careful reading of Rev. 14:14-20 reveals the unsaved will be collected by angels (compare Mt. 13:41) and the saved will be personally gathered by Jesus.
