The Greek word “braduno”

Found just twice in the New Testament (1 Tim. 3:15; 2 Pet. 3:9), the Greek verb “braduno” meant “hold back,” “delay,” “hesitation.”

This word describes a “delayed arrival” in 1 Tim. 3:15 and the Lord’s seemingly “slow return” in 2 Pet. 3:9. We may think God acts “slowly,” but inspiration says He is not “slow” to carry out His promises.
