The Greek word “geuo”

Found 15 times in the New Testament and used both literally and metaphorically, the Greek verb “geuo” meant “experience,” “taste,” “enjoy.”

Men “taste” (experience) death (Mt. 16:28; Mk. 9:1).  Jesus “tasted” death for all men (Heb. 2:9).  Saved people have “tasted” the heavenly gift (Heb. 6:4-5). Peter (1 Pet. 2:3) said Christians have “tasted” the Lord’s goodness.

If you have “tasted” the world and found it to be bitter and undesirable, there is a better way.
