The Greek verb “ἐκνήφω”

Limited to 1 Cor. 15:34, the Greek verb ἐκνήφω meant “come to one’s senses” or “be sober.”  The Corinthians needed “clarity of mind” (Dictionary of New Testament Theology, 1:515).  Paul said, “Come to your right mind, and sin no more” (Exegetical Dictionary of the New Testament, 1:419).
